Shrek Turtles

So I watched the trailer.

I am so done.
Seriously, wtf is this crap? All of it looks awful. April's dad made the turtles look like shrek? This is beyond awful.
One of the writers apparently said something along the lines of "You already know the story, why would you go to the movies to go see the same story?"
....
Because its a good story.
Why don't we just watch the Transformers again or Spiderman. This looks like the same story.
